Woodchip for Fertile Soils (WOOFS)
The Woodchip for Fertile Soils (WOOFS) project, funded by the European Innovation Partnership and led by the Organic Research Centre, commenced on 1st September 2017. The project aims to investiigate the use of woodchip in improving soil health and structure. Further details
Ash dieback
As of 4th September 2018, the Forestry Commission has confirmed that ash dieback is present in 19.9% of all 10 km grid squares in Scotland, 68.0% of the squares in England, 80% of the squares in Wales and 32.3% of the squares in Northern Ireland. Forestry Commission
