We are really pleased to invite you to join us for the next trees and vegetable group meeting of the UK agroforestry innovation network on Thursday 15th Augsut 2019 at Gibside Estate and Community Farm, Gateshead. This practical event for farmers, growers and landworkers will focus on sharing management and maintenance advice as well as lessons that have been learnt along the way. Join agroforestry expert Steve Newman for a morning of learning and inspiration at one of the oldest established ash silvopasture sites in the UK. Planted in 1987 this is a great opportunity to see a mature agroforestry system, share management advice as well as look at lessons that have been learnt along the way. The workshop will be followed by lunch in the National Trust cafe at Claydon Estate. Places are limited so please register early to avoid disappointment. 16th North American Agroforestry Conference, on the themes Agroforestry for Sustainable Production + Resilient Landscapes
A three-day international gathering bringing together creative thinkers and doers to explore the forest and how we live with trees. Evolving the Forest is convened by art.earth, the Royal Forestry Society and Timber Strategies.
The 2019 Annual Conference of the Farm Woodland Forum, on the theme of Integrating Farming and Forestry, will be held at the Scottish Natural Heritage Battleby Conference Centre in Perthshire.  Registration form, and details as they become available.   Student bursary for attendance.  There is a Lynton Incoll Scholarship bursary of £200 towards travel and conference costs for a UK/Irish-registered student to make a presentation at the Farm Woodland Annual Meeting at Battleby.  The successful student is expected to write a report for the Farm Woodland Forum website.  Applicants should send a copy of a proposed Abstract, a brief biography and a covering letter from a course Director or Supervisor to t.pagella@bangor.ac.uk by Friday 24th May 2019.
