North Wyke Agroforestry Site


The site was established by the Institute for Grassland and Environmental Research (IGER) and Forest Research. With the disbandment of IGER in 2008, the North Wyke Farm Platform became part of Rothamsted Research.

In addition to the treatments that were common to all the National Network sites 1) agricultural control with no trees 2) sycamore at 100 trees ha-1 3) sycamore at 400 trees ha-1 4) sycamore at 2500 trees ha-1, a forestry control with no grazing, there were ash (Fraxinus excelsior) at 100, 200, 400 and 2500 trees ha-1.

Management protocols were as at all the National Network sites.

Data collection was as at all the National Network sites.
