As part of the Devon County Show (21st - 23rd May) the Woodland Trust have supported the creation of a woodland competition to recognise the skills and expertise involved in woodland management. Several classes are covered including a bespoke Agroforestry/Wood pasture class which will be assessed on it's productivity, animal welfare benefits, and overall environmental benefits.
Other classes include woodland creation, productive woodland stand, community woodland, woodland management, and habitat management. Entries are open to woodlands within the country of Devon only and must be submitted by March 27th.
